Here I am, send me!

Hello everyone!!

We begin our journey to Kenya, Africa today and we are anxiously waiting the long plane rides.  We have prepared for this trip all semester and excited to see how God is going to move in the nation of Kenya.  We are going to be updating this blog as much as possible while on our trip so we can share what the Lord is doing.  We ask that you all be in prayer for our safety as we travel.  Also, join us in praying for the people in Kenya, that their hearts may be prepared and open to the Good News that we will be sharing!

We are in Dallas today staying with a team member's family.  We had a good breakfast and enjoyed sharing in excitement for the trip we are about to take.  For the rest of the day we are going to overview some of the material we have prepared for the children in Kenya.  We are also making our last run to Walmart for those last minute necessities.  Our flight leaves this evening at 9:05 and we are headed to London.  From London we will fly to Nairobi, and then to Mombasa.  In Mombasa our host will pick us up and we will drive in a matatu to our destination!

Thank you all for your support and prayers!

  1. YAY KENYA! Ready for this novel? :)

I am so so excited for y'all! I know a lot of preparation has gone into this trip and it's finally here! I have been praying and will continue to pray for your hearts as you serve God through serving others. You are going to witness miracles, hear & see incredible stories of salvation and experience Christ's love in a radical way. Those things are so exciting and such a blessing! But the most encouraging thing I can tell you is that being missional is not about seeing results.

God calls us to be obedient to Him in whatever He asks us to do and anything beyond that is bonus! There will be times when you do something you feel the Lord is asking you to do without seeing any fruit. Don't be discouraged! God works in His time and we are called to be the hands, feet, and FACE of Jesus!

Be safe, be obedient to the Lord, and have so much fun! I can't wait to hear all the incredible stories about how God moved in the nation of Kenya. Please update often! :) I will be diligently praying for each of you and for the people you will encounter! Love you all! (except Dylan, jk ;) )

Ariel... please keep that wound covered and take your special meds. Try not to die, you're pretty cool, so I think I'll keep you ;) Love you!

    Go God!

    Mere :) :) :)
